70's supergroup ABBA are to release their first new song in 18 years after stumbling upon a lost recording while making plans for the reissue of their final album The Visitors.

From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel will be released in April.

The track comes from a demo recorded around the time The Visitors was released in 1981.

It will be the first new ABBA recording released since the box set Thank You For The Music was issued in 1994, according to RollingStone.com.

The new version of The Visitors will also include six previously released bonus tracks and a DVD featuring rare and unreleased footage, including the band's final performance in December, 1982.

The four-piece has never reformed, despite annual rumours suggesting the bandmates are considering a reunion.

They never even came together for their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 - only former couple Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad made the trip to the gala.

A $5000 engagement ring proposal...Rich Stalker! Read More
Reclusive singer Kate Bush had her home broken into by an obsessive fan who had planned to propose to her.

According to The Daily Mail, 32-year-old Frank Tufaro ' an American ' travelled to the Bush's home in Devon, carrying a $AU4,453 engagement ring made of diamond, sapphire and gold. He broke in via a window but Bush wasn't home. He was arrested after a neighbour spotted him and called the police.

It is believed that Tufaro became obsessed with Bush after seeing her on television as a teenager. He was quoted as saying: 'I feel so connected to her. I feel so much love for her and I wan to protect her.

'I was inside for about eight minutes before I realised I had to leave. I just walked around and looked at everything. It wasn't what I expected.'

'I didn't have a clue where I was and was convinced I was going to die there, it was so bitter and cold.'

Tufaro reportedly spent $AU356 on a taxi to the home which he found using satellite coordinates he found on the internet. He was detained under the Mental Health Act and was deported from Britain. He was handed over to the FBI in New York.

Kate Bush recently released her first album in six years, 50 Words For Snow, which has earned her a nomination for Best Female Artist at the Brit Awards.

Icehouse frontman Iva Davies will represent Australia at the G'Day USA celebrations in Los Angeles.

The singer is the latest Friend of Australia appointed by tourism chiefs, joining former ambassadors Hugh Jackman & Olivia Newton John.

Davies' visit as part of Australia Week, the annual showcase for business interests in the US, marks the 30th anniversary of the iconic Icehouse anthem Great Southern Land.

The veteran musician said he was looking forward to promoting homegrown endeavour with Australia's biggest trading and investment partner at Saturday's gala event.

"Growing up in rural Australia I love the outback Australian landscape, the vastness and visual impact it holds, so it's a natural conversation for me to talk about my love for this country," Davies said in a statement.

"I was delighted when on the eve of the anniversary year I was invited to be an official Friend of Australia and look forward to an engaging year ahead."

Icehouse have sold more than 8 million albums since forming in 1977 and re-formed last year to play a series of concerts and festivals.
